Will the videographer be obtrusive or interfere with my wedding?
This is one of the most common concerns. Too many people have experienced aggressive and annoying videographers at weddings. This is unfortunate because it does not have to be that way. We take pride in our ultra discreet style. We promise that our videographer will be less obtrusive on your wedding day than the still photographer (who will, by the necessity of what they do, take up inordinate amounts of your time that day). Feedback from our satisfied customers runs a common thread: "We hardly noticed that you were there" is a praise that we often get. We are the proverbial "fly on the wall", capturing your wedding as if through the eyes of an unseen guest. If you are very sensitive to this, we can even take a more low key approach.

Will there be bright video lights everywhere?
There is always a trade-off between the annoyance of a video light and the technical quality of the video produced. Yes, our camera crew does use video lights but we also have invested in the industries best performing low light 3 chip cameras. They will produce superior video quality under natural light conditions.. . We never add lights during the ceremony and will use light discreetly during the reception.

How well do you work with the photographer?
We have excellent working relationship with our photographer friends. In fact, many of our referrals come from them! EVP has worked with many of the East Bay top photographers with 18 years experience. We recognize that we are both professionals with a job to do, and therefore give the photographer the space they need to do their work. Professional courtesy is always exercised. If they do not wish us to tape during the formal photo sessions, we comply and ask to have separate time with you. We even have a list of recommended photographers whose work has been praised by our clients, and with whom we've developed an excellent working rapport.

How long will the finished video be?
Our goal is to produce a video that is long enough to cover everything that is important, yet not so long that it becomes a bore to watch. They range from 1 to 3 hours long, depending on the activities at your event, the instructions for content that you give us and several other factors. We offer a special "Short Version" video that contains only segments that you specify.

How long will it take to get my completed video?
This depends on the time of year and your timeliness in delivering needed materials to complete the video. Weddings in this area are extremely seasonal with 80% of the weddings occurring on Saturdays in May through September. We begin the wedding "season" all caught up in our editing, but as summer progresses, we can not edit the weddings at the same pace that they are being taped. Our backlog therefore grows as the summer progresses, with couples getting married in September and October seeing the longest waits to get their video. This is fairly typical throughout the industry. If all of your photos, music decisions and other ingredients to complete the video are turned in before the wedding, you can expect a 4 - 6 week turn around.

Do you have a flexible payment plan?
Yes we do. Our clients normally pay in two installments; initial 50% to reserve your wedding date, then the remainder upon delivery of your wedding video. If you need to spread out your payments, we can work with you; i.e. three equal installments, The first serves as a deposit to reserve your date. The second is due 30 days prior to the wedding. The final installments is due 60 days after the wedding. We do have minimum deposit of $600 to reserve most of our packages if you wish to hold the date and decide on a package later. Two-thirds of the total amount for your video must be paid prior to the wedding. All payments must be paid prior to pickup of your DVD package.

What if I have to cancel, what is the deposit refund policy?
Your deposit is refundable until 60 days prior to the wedding with written notification. We must obtain a replacement booking for your date for the deposit to be refunded. A portion of your deposit is a service fee and is not refundable. For cancellations later than 60 days before the event, or cancellations that we are not unable to re-book, the deposit is forfeited. Any deposit not refunded can be used towards their new wedding date if the date is available in our schedule. We never add lights during the ceremony and will use light discreetly during the reception.
